Why We Started

The Essential Homeschool Preschool and Pre-K Workbook was born out of a simple frustration — there weren't enough resources that truly worked for homeschooling families with young children. Hayley Lewallen, an early childhood education expert, saw parents struggling to find structured, engaging, and age-appropriate activities for their 4 and 5 year olds. So she built one herself.

Every activity in this workbook was designed with real children in mind. Not the idealised version that sits perfectly still and absorbs information effortlessly — but the curious, easily distracted, endlessly energetic kids that actually exist. Hayley spent years refining each exercise to make sure it was simple enough for any parent to deliver, and engaging enough that children would actually want to come back for more.
